Justin Timberlake Surprises Cancer Patient During Super Bowl Rehearsal

Justin Timberlake took time out of his busy Super Bowl halftime show rehearsal to FaceTime with a young woman battling cancer.

The “Filthy” singer placed a call to Ashleigh, a 23-year-old woman living with Stage IV Oesteo Sarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer, a few months ago, before it was publicly announced that Timberlake would be performing at the Super Bowl.

In the video of their call shared to Facebook, Timberlake asks Ashleigh how she is feeling before he reveals details about his Super Bowl rehearsal.

“I’m actually in New Jersey right now”, the 36-year-old singer says. “I’ve got a tour and a Super Bowl to rehearse for”.

“Thankfully, the stadium is a dome”, Timberlake explains after Ashleigh expresses her concern over performing outdoors in Minneapolis in February for the Super Bowl.

Their video of their call is cut short due to some top secret Super Bowl details, according to the Facebook caption, which promises to share part two of the call following Timberlake’s halftime performance on Feb. 4.
