Justin Timberlake says goodbye to Lagerfeld

On February 19th, 2019, at the age of 85, Karl Lagerfeld has passed away in Paris. It was a bitter farewell after the designer deserted Chanel’s two runway shows presented on January 21st in the Grand Palais — as always, amidst the stunning frame of an 18th-century garden. That night, as the flashes of photographers illuminated lush feathers, vertiginous hairstyles, and siren’s dresses, everything seemed to be in its place, except Karl, the fashion icon par excellence and head of maison Chanel for over 36 years.

The 85 year old, born on September 10th, 1933, lived an exceptionally full life, especially when considering the breakneck pace of the innovator who lived for perfection.
