Shade 45, Sway In The Morning: "The 20/20 Experience 2 of 2"

Fresh off of winning four MTV Video Music Awards, in addition to being honored with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, Justin Timberlake stopped by Shade 45's studio for a one of a kind sit-down with the station's anchor show, Sway In The Morning.

JT confirms that Jay Z and Drake will both be on his upcoming 20/20 experience 2 of 2 album, due September 30, and explains how each collab organically happened.

He also touches on his one-hour convo with Kanye West at the VMAs, and acknowledges Ye's Suit and Tie criticism.

"At the end of the day, it's just music". Justin tells Sway. "I love Suit and Tie, it reminds me of the music I grew up listening to. I respect his opinion because I think he's a genius… but I don't share that opinion. It's just not a big deal deal… to do it at SNL too… it's not that big a deal".

He goes on to say, "I don't know that he fully understands what I can do, and that's ok… as a matter of fact, Jay said the same thing".

Which means, you can more than likely expect a Kanye + Justin collab soon.

While talking about his upcoming 20/20 experience 2 of 2, Timberlake paints a picture on how it's different than the first half and says there's hints of Future Sex Love Sounds in there.

"The first half was the freshman love, so you wanna go to her house and impress her parents". JT says, explaining his upcoming album. "Then you realize she has an older sister, that's a senior, dark hair and tattoos and she'll give you that look, 'I'll turn you out.' That's the second half. Sonically, it sounds darker".

Before leaving the Shade 45 studio, JT weighed in on Miley Cyrus and defends her recent behavior.

"She's doing what 20 year old girls do". Says JT on Miley. "The difference is she's got a microphone, she's on stage at the VMAs… Take it easy on her, she's 20 years old, she's a young adult and she can do that".
