Justin Timberlake’s Greatest Hits Are Getting Turned Into Lullabies

Rockabye Baby! Lullaby Renditions by Justin Timberlake might just be the hottest album drop of the summer — if you’re asking 2-year-olds, that is.

With a track list that includes calm, instrumental versions of Timberlake’s latest and greatest hits (think “Mirrors”, “Rock Your Body” and “Can’t Stop The Feeling!”), this new album might just land him in baby whisperer territory. Hey, if a serene rendition of “Señorita” puts the kiddos to sleep without parents having to resort to bribery or sneak escapes, we’re pretty sure this one’s going platinum — which is pretty cool for a record that, at least from what we can tell, features a glockenspiel as its main instrument. The company boasts an impressive nighttime record list — from Beyoncé to Adele, to Bowie and Bruce Springsteen, plenty of celebs have had their greatest hits remastered into contemporary nursery songs (which you can buy on vinyl, if that’s your thing!). It’s a genius idea — not to mention, it bails out adults when they’re asked to sing “Twinkle, Twinkle” again. And then again.

While Justin Timberlake’s decision to frost his hair in the late ’90s didn’t make a lot of sense, his choice to allow Rockabye Baby to turn his upbeat pop songs into sleepy-time tunes is pretty fitting.
