Chris Stapleton and Justin Timberlake Teamed Up Again for the Brit Awards And It Was So Good

Forget Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon–Justin Timberlake and Chris Stapleton is the bromance we can all get behind. The two have a history of making music together, first with an epic duet at the 2015 CMA Awards, then with Justin Timberlake’s new album, Man of the Woods, for which Stapleton co-wrote three songs and sang on “Say Something”.

The guys also appeared on Justin Timberlake’s other BFF’s show, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, after the Super Bowl. Then yesterday, the stars continued their collaboration (or should we say bro-llaboration) with another awesome live performance at the 2018 Brit Awards.

“We got the South at the Brits, y’all can’t do better than this”, Justin Timberlake reportedly chanted during his first song, “Midnight Summer Jam”.

Prior to the awards show, Timberlake and Stapleton each shared a shot from rehearsal, with the captions “I’m the one in the beanie” and “I’m the one in the cowboy hat”, respectively.

Stapleton told Billboard back in 2015 that when he and Timberlake met, they bonded over a couple things they had in common: being dads and fans of each other’s music.

And while Justin Timberlake assured CountryLiving.com that Man of the Woods is not a country album, he and Stapleton can’t seem to stop teaming up–and we can’t get enough of it.

“Chris is a genius”, Timberlake told us of working with the country singer. “Chris is like a chosen guy. You know, you don’t believe in that, and then you meet a guy like Chris Stapleton and it’s just…within him. We just have a really great relationship–it’s super easy”.

The friendly feelings are clearly mutual: “I had a blast with him”, Stapleton said in a Billboard interview. “He’s a great creative force and one of those guys that if you get a chance to work with him, you should”.
