How GQ’s star-studded Brits picture was made

Last night was a first for The Brits. A landmark occasion was captured behind the scenes, where GQ’s exclusive backstage studio became a hotbed of celebrity meet-ups, sartorial advice and the strongest of poses.

The result was an extraordinary one-off image, shot exclusively by Gavin Bond, featuring Justin Timberlake, Dua Lipa, Foo Fighters, Stormzy, Ed Sheeran and Adwoa Aboah, to name a few.

Waiting between shoots, Ellie Goulding and Dua Lipa – who later won two Brit Awards – told Ellie she looked amazing, the “New Rules” singer’s exceptional flowing pink dress filled the room.

Rita Ora, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith and Stormzy had a collective hustle at the shoot – Ed Sheeran was full of compliments for Rita’s dress and Stormzy’s powder-blue Richard James suit. Camila Cabello joined Sam Smith before her shoot, the pair talked about hanging out in London.
