Who Should Host The Oscars According To Billboard
Less than 48 hours after his name was announced as the host of the 2019 Academy Awards, Kevin Hart stepped down from the gig in the wake of controversy over the comedian’s past anti-LGBTQ comments. Hart’s departure from the high-profile gig has left the Academy scrambling to find a new host for the 91st edition of the Oscars, which will air live on Sunday, Feb. 24, on ABC.
Who should step up to take his place? Here are our six suggestions for potential replacements.
Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon
It’s about time these two brought their bromance to the biggest stage in Hollywood. This one has everything: they’re both singers, both great at physical comedy, Fallon is a late night host (the traditional go-to for awards show hosts), they can dance and do sketch work…and neither of them have disqualifying skeletons in their closets. Plus, they’re just adorable together.
