Joe Biden’s New Campaign Uses a Classic Justin Timberlake Song

Joe Biden is bringing out the big guns in his battle to win the presidency: Justin Timberlake.

The former vice president is splashing a new ad campaign which takes aim at Donald Trump and his insistence that he’s “treated worse” than any other president, instead of focusing on the current health crisis.

“Over 1 million cases of COVID-19. Almost 70,000 dead. What is upsetting President Trump? Tough questions from the press”, reads a post on Biden’s social accounts, which accompanies an edited package from the president’s Lincoln Memorial Fox town hall. “Cry me a river, Mr. President”.

The Democratic nominee’s campaign is soundtracked by Timberlake’s 2002 heartbreak hit “Cry Me a River”, which snagged a Grammy and went to No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Though he’s not known for blasting his political views, Justin Timberlake is a true-blue Democrat supporter. In 2016, he and his wife Jessica Biel hosted a fundraiser for the party’s then-presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in Los Angeles. Also, he’s no fan of Trump, taking aim at the POTUS in his 2018 music video for “Supplies”.
