Justin Timberlake Calls Jonah Hill His ‘Spirit Animal’

The 37 year old actor Jonah Hill admitted to only recently feeling confident enough to take his shirt off in public, because “mockery” by the press made his childhood body insecurities impossible to shake.

He wrote that he’s finally happy in his own skin, and even shared the paparazzi photos that tabloids had shared along with their commentary on his body. Jonah’s bold message earned him praise from celebrities and fans alike.

Rashida Jones commented “King energy”, and Jonah’s longtime friend and collaborator Judd Apatow wrote that Jonah changed his life: “When I take my shirt off at the beach it looks like I am still wearing a shirt…or sweater. Now I will show it off with pride!”

Justin’s comment got the most attention, though: “You are a G!!! And my spirit animal! Love you, bro!”.

As Lizzo once explained to Rihanna, the term ‘spirit animal’ is sacred to First Nations people, so it’s inaccurate and insensitive for others to throw it around casually. Some people jumped to Justin’s defense with fair points like “we all do stupid, ignorant s**t and we should all be allowed to learn and grow”. Here’s hoping Justin added it to his long list of lessons learned the hard way.
