Trailer: Justin Timberlake makes his retro lifeguard debut in ‘Wonder Wheel’
Justin Timberlake as a hot, retro lifeguard? Woody Allen is here for such wish fulfillment. In the new trailer for “Wonder Wheel”, Justin Timberlake shows off his character’s throwback one-piece men’s bathing suit (a look he somehow pulls off) in all its belted glory.
Set in the Coney Island amusement park, Allen’s new mob drama tells the story of Ginny (Kate Winslet), an emotionally volatile former actress now working as a waitress in a clam house; Humpty (Jim Belushi), Ginny’s rough-hewn carousel operator husband; Mickey (Timberlake), a handsome young lifeguard who dreams of becoming a playwright; and Carolina (Juno Temple), Humpty’s long-estranged daughter, who is now hiding out from gangsters at her father’s apartment.
Let the intrigue begin. Wonder Wheel hits select theaters Dec. 1.
