Pepsi released its latest behind-the-scenes video of Justin Timberlake’s upcoming Super Bowl halftime performance and this time, the focus is on the pop icon’s band, The Tennessee Kids.
“The name started off almost like a joke, I put it as a liner note on one of the songs I sang on The 20/20 Experience”, Timberlake said in the clip. “When it came time to tour, I was like ‘You guys should be the Tennessee Kids'”.
The 3-minute video features a montage of Timberlake rehearsing with his band, and the hard work they are putting into the highly-anticipated performance on Sunday (Feb. 4). The group has been working together for years, and have developed a special bond.
“We’re supporting each other, brotherhood, sisterhood, no racial lines, no gender lines, everybody just having a good time”, Musical Director Adam Blackstone said.
“It’s a club where everyone is invited”, Timberlake mirrored.
