Justin Timberlake announced that a portion of all ticket sales from this weekend’s show at the CHI Health Center in Omaha would be donated to assist flood relief in Nebraska.
This weekend’s show is one of the highest grossing ever at CHI Health Center.
During the show, Timberlake wore a Nebraska Strong T-shirt and threw his support behind the relief efforts.
“Are we Nebraska Strong tonight? Nebraska strong on three…One…Two…Three…Nebraska strong!”, shouts Timberlake with the crowd.
Timberlake said he will also personally make a donation and Live Nation said they will match his donation. “When I say ‘we’ I mean we are all here tonight making a donation”, Timberlake told the crowd, noting that the gig was the highest-grossing show at the CHI Health Center. The Omaha World-Herald added that Justin Timberlake wore a “Nebraska Strong” shirt during the show, saying, “This is the real America right here. Are we Nebraska strong tonight?”
OMAHA! Thank you for coming out last night. Just by showing up, you became a big part of our efforts to help the victims of the flooding here in the Midwest. Special thanks to @LiveNation & @drinkbai. Stay strong Nebraska, WE LOVE YOU.
