We all knew Justin Timberlake was a Man of the Woods. It turns out the pop star’s a man of his word as well.
Timberlake delivered on a sweet promise, giving Santa Fe High School shooting victim Sarah Salazar two free VIP tickets to his much-hyped concert at the Toyota Center on Tuesday night. This comes after Timberlake visited the teen in the hospital days after the shooting.
“The wait was worth it”, Sarah tells Fox 26. “I’m just so excited. He visited me six days after I was admitted to the hospital”.
The 17-year-old student suffered major injuries during the mass shooting on May 18, which claimed 10 people’s lives and injured 13 others. Salazar was shot and sustained a shattered shoulder and suffered rib fractures. A main artery in her neck was severed, putting her in critical condition. She’s undergone surgery and has several more scheduled.
Timberlake vowed to give Salazar the pair of tickets when he visited in her hospital room back in May of last year. Salazar went to Tuesday night’s performance with her sister Suzannah. It was Salazar’s first-ever concert.
Timberlake supported Santa Fe High School shooting victims at his May 2018 concert in Houston, donning a “Santa Fe Strong” t-shirt.
The pop culture icon and crooner was also generous last weekend in San Antonio. While in town to perform at the AT&T Center in San Antonio on Saturday, he took time out of his busy schedule to visit HCA Healthcare Methodist Children’s Hospital and spend time with young patients.
Timberlake clearly Can’t Stop The Feeling, and he’s giving back to Texas’ most vulnerable.
